MDE Education Fund

The MDE Education Fund is the primary source of PFC funding.  100% of this direct, tax-deductible cash donation goes to programs that benefit ALL students.

We encourage families to donate what they can, when they can to the Education Fund. The suggested donation is $180 per child, or   ~$1 for each day in a school year, but any amount is greatly appreciated. Or, break your donation down into several smaller payments throughout the year. This donation offsets some of the negative effects of the recent cuts to programs at the state and district levels.

Just think of what we could provide for our students if we had 100% participation!

Corporate Matching

Corporate matching doubles your donation to the MDE Education Fund.

Companies that match:
For example, your donation of $180 becomes a $360 donation!
Some companies also make donations to match the hours you volunteer with the school - whether in the classroom or as part of PFC events and programs!

Which companies match?

Here are three ways to find out:

  • Check this list of Bay Area corporations that match donations
  • Contact your Human Resources Department

Ask your Human Resources Department for a Matching Gift form (many can be obtained online) and complete your portion. At Prep Day, include the completed Matching Gift form with your MDE Education Fund form (at right), or bring the two forms to the school office — at any time during the year. Be sure to complete the employer information on the MDE Education Fund form.
