Free Money

eScrip offers a great and convenient way to earn money for Mt. Diablo Elementary — without spending any extra money!

How it Works

  • You register your existing Safeway club card, ATM/debit cards, and other loyalty and credit cards for use in the program.
  • Participating merchants make contributions based on purchases you make, using the cards you have registered – at no cost to you. Safeway, Lunuardi's, Whole Foods, Macy's, and even our local restaurant La Veranda are just a few popular stores that participate.
  • Your purchases are tracked and available to you online, allowing you to see just how much you are earning on your child's behalf!

To Sign Up

  • Be ready with your Safeway club card number (or call 877-723-3929 to retrieve it) and any other credit or store cards you would like to register.
  • Go to or download the eScrip form and return it to the school office.
  • Enter our Group Name: Mt. Diablo Elementary PFC
  • Click on Sign up – It’s Free!

Anyone can sign up - parents, grandparents, friends...

eScrip (Gift Cards)

Do you use gift cards, as gifts, as a way of keeping a budget, or simply for convenience? With the Scrip program, you buy your gift cards through the MDE PFC, and a % of your purchase is donated back to the school. It doesn't cost a penny more than the face value of the card!

Which gift cards are offered?

Safeway, Target, Starbucks, Macy's, Barnes and Noble.....

How do I purchase them?

Simply fill out the order form, turn it in to the school office, and pick up your cards at the next PFC meeting. Cards are also sold at PFC meetings, Prep Day, and other school events.

Box Tops

Box Tops for Education is another easy and fun way to earn "free money" for the school. At MDE, the money earned through this program is used specifically to provide resources for our library.

How it Works
  • Purchase products bearing the Box Tops for Education
  • Clip the logo (neatly, please) from the boxes.
  • When you have collected a certain number (10 or more, or enough to fill a collection sheet), return the tops in a bag to the school.
  • The Box tops coordinator then redeems the tops for money for the library!
  • Collect Box Tops throughout the year, and if you'd like, download some fun collection sheets for your kids!
